The physics of the blue
The deeper you go,the bluer it gets.
Water absorbs light wavelength by wavelength. Red disappears within the first few metres, then orange, yellow, and green — until only blue remains. It's why a cut bleeds green at 20 m, and why divers carry torches to bring the reef's real colours back.
