The dive

Eight species. One tank.

Drop off the boat with 200 bar and a camera. Swim with your cursor or finger, tap to photograph everything that moves — deeper species burn air faster, your no-deco clock is running, and the boat expects a safety stop at 5 m on your way home.

The science behind the dive

Every gauge up there is real.

Air ∝ pressure

At 30 m you breathe air at four times surface pressure — so your tank drains four times faster. Gas planning is lesson one.

The no-deco clock

The NDL numbers in the game come from the actual PADI dive tables. Stay too deep too long and you owe the sea decompression stops on the way up.

The safety stop

Three minutes at five metres lets absorbed nitrogen leave your body gently. Divers do it on every dive, every time.

Everything the simulation nagged you about — buoyancy, gas, ascent rate, the stop — is exactly what the PADI Open Water course makes second nature. The reef is better in person.
